Matt Seiler BIO

Matt is a custom woodcrafter located in the south suburbs of Chicago. He began working with wood in 1975, using the hand tools and materials available to him as a youth. Since then Matt has graduated to making much more elaborate pieces made from domestic and exotic hardwoods in his fully equipped and modern woodshop.

His commissioned work mainly involves freestanding furniture. Every piece is unique to the needs and design sensibilities of the client.  Matt can accommodate commissioned requests which range from simple and unadorned designs with clean lines to more complex and flowing pieces using beautiful figured veneers, and any combination in between.
